  Great day spent with the family! Our group of 5 ended up with a private tour since it was Christmas Eve (looks like the van seats up to 8) which... read more was a nice bonus. The drive from Porto out to the first stop was about 90 min, with the last 30 min or so being through some pretty windy roads so be prepared if you easily get carsick! Loved learning about traditional olive oil and wine production at the first stop. Another short but very windy drive so be careful again if you get nauseous! The second stop was a delicious lunch AND port tastings - and the property is so unique and beautiful! Third and final stop was a neighborhood tavern in a small town where we got some meat and cheese with green wine (including a red green wine). We weren’t offered a chance to take a boat - perhaps due to the season? All in all would recommend for a day trip. Learned a lot, plenty of food and drink, no complaints.
