By joining this experience, you’ll support local family-owned wine producers with representative wines from their region.
Did you know that Portugal has FOURTEEN different wine regions with more than 250 grape varieties, more than any other country in the world? During our experience, we will taste TEN representative wines from across the country. Our tastings are relaxed, educational, and most importantly fun. As such, I’ll be explaining the winemaker’s notes and typical specifications of the regions so that you can taste and understand how each region differentiates itself from the others.
We will begin from the northern border with Spain with a GREEN WINE, which typically is fruity.
We will then move to the WHITE WINES and taste an exquisite and complex yet typical one from the DOURO region; right after this, we will dive into BAIRRADA and experience the freshness of the region; later, we will try a more mineral one from DÃO and we will finish the first part of the experience with a full-bodied from ALENTEJO.
Before we dive into the RED WINES I’ll serve a surprise to help you with the transition. We will begin with TWO intense and full-bodied RED WINES from different regions in DOURO; after, we will try the freshness of a RED WINE from BAIRRADA and a special RED WINE from DÃO. We will finish with a RED WINE from Alentejo, which typically has a lot of structure.
